Privacy, in plain words

For every complaint that was emailed to an office: the photo, the category, where it is (its map position, ward, corporation and constituency), when it was reported, which office it was sent to and whether it has been marked fixed.

The name, phone number, email address and account of the person who reported it, the note they wrote, the street address the app looked up, and their device. None of this is on the map, the complaint pages, the share images or the downloadable data.

The app keeps the original photo in private storage. This website only ever shows a re-encoded copy with all metadata removed - including GPS coordinates, capture time and device details. Photos are not blurred, so please avoid photographing people's faces or vehicle number plates.

You choose how each complaint is sent. From your own mail app, the office sees your email address as the sender. If Fix My City sends it for you, it comes from the Fix My City mailbox and your email address is set as the reply-to, so the office can answer you directly.

• City votes: the city you chose, your email if you gave one (only to tell you when that city goes live), and a one-way hash of your network address used to allow one vote per network per day. The address itself is not stored.
• Google Play sign-ups: your email address, used once to tell you the app is available.

The website has no accounts, no advertising and no third-party tracking. It remembers your light or dark theme choice in your own browser. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are sent by a person.

If you use it, your browser's location is used on your device to move the map. It is never sent to Fix My City.

To have a complaint, a vote or a sign-up removed, contact us and we will delete it. A removed complaint drops off this website within minutes. Contact
